Emerald Citizen and Community Group Awards

Do you know someone who has made an outstanding contribution to the Emerald community? Then nominate them for an Emerald Citizen Award!

There are three award categories:

  • Citizen of the Year (over 25 years on 1 January)

  • Young Citizen of the Year (under 25 years on 1 January)

  • Community Group/Event of the Year

Successful awardees may be asked to play a role during the year of their appointment, as guest speakers at community occasions and events. 

To nominate, fill out the form below with the following:

  • Explain the reasons for nomination, achievements and background.

  • Enclose clear copies of any available supporting material e.g. .newspaper or magazine articles.

  • List any other awards and include other relevant information.

  • Submit the full name and address of the nominator and state the relationship to the nominated person (self-nominations not accepted).

A selection panel of Emerald Village Association Committee members (and previous awardees) will assess the nominations. All nominees and successful awardees will be notified in writing by the Emerald Village Association Inc.

To be eligible for an award, nominees must:

  • Reside or operate in the 3782 postcode (Avonsleigh, Macclesfield, Clematis and Emerald) 

  • Be employed or active within the Emerald and District community 

  • Willing to accept the award

Nominations close:  Friday, October 4th 

Awards are presented at the October Emerald Village Association community meeting.
